Everyday Angels

If you chose to read my blog you will be reading just short encounters I make everyday with people possibly like you and me. People that bring me messages everyday. In the Old Testament in the Bible, the word "Angel," means "messenger" and I am currently trying to take notice of the messages and lessons I am learning everyday and the people who deliver these messages!

For as Hebrews 13: 2 says: "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."

If we rush through life too fast without stopping to truly see people we will miss these angels! We will miss these messages that God is possibly trying to tell us through others. They might not be the prettiest people, the most popular, the fastest, strongest, most wise, but they are angels none the less. They are often people we would normally just pass by.

I will start with my first angel who happens to be my preachers little granddaughter who has Down Syndrome. She might not be the swiftest at some things but she knows how to love greater that anyone I have ever met. Whenever she sees someone, she shouts their name with incredible joy and then hugs them and holds them a while, squeezing their hands, rubbing their shoulder, and just speaking through her little eyes to all she meets that whoever she is talking to matters and has value. Whoever meets this little angel is touched with a love so sincere, so genuine, and so pure that they will never be able to forget meeting her. She is a little girl of the age of 19 and she blesses everyone she meets through her pure joy!!

I was blessed with staying the night over at her house and I got to wake up to an angel singing!!! It was this precious little girl, singing praises to our Lord!!! It might of been still dark outside and the hour that you only usually hear the faint sound of crickets chirping or the snoring of others in your home of 5:45 AM, but it was the hour of JOY and the best way of waking up. I pray I can have a heart like hers where I wake up praising our Lord and Savior, for he is good. Always. Thank you little angel for singing your joyful song everyday and teaching me the message that we should be praising God with out ceasing from the moment we rise to the moment we lay our head down!

Another little side note about this little girl, she is often found talking to people when nobody is around her. You walk into the room and she is alone having a full conversation with somebody else. I think that somebody else is an angel.
